   ACADEMIC AWARDS


To motivate and encourage, the school honours its
Students by awarding Academic Prizes, Merit Certificates, Scholar Badges, Scholar Gowns and Gold Medals. (The grading for Personal and Social Qualities, Attitudes and Values will be on a five point scale as follows:)


1. PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE
(Classes III onwards) Certificate is awarded to a  
student , based on the following criteria:

  1. Minimum grade points-38
  2. Minimum AB grade in all subjects.

2. SCHOLAR’S BADGE (Class III onwards)
Scholar’s Badge is awarded to a student on the
basis of the following criteria:

  1. Minimum grade points-38
  2. Minimum AB grade in all subjects.

Class VI onwards

  1. Minimum grade points-45
  2. Minimum AB grade in all subjects.

3. SCHOLAR’S GOWM / BLAZER
Scholar’s Gown shall be awarded to a student who
earns Scholar’s Badge for three consecutive years
(Class V and above)


4. GOLD MEDAL
Gold Medal is awarded to a student who earns
Scholar’s Badge for six consecutive years starting
from Class V.

 

5.  MARKER CUPS
Marker Cups are awarded to students who attain
highest marks in various subjects from Class III

onwards. The student must secure a minimum of 80% marks in that subject to qualify for the award.


6. MERIT CERTIFICATE
A Merit Certificate shall be awarded to students

  1. who attain 100% attendance
  2. who excel in games and sports
  3. who excel in co-curricular / cultural activities.

Note:
For the award of Proficiency Certificate / Scholar Badge, the child must get minimum C grade in all the optional subjects – Art & Craft, Music, G.A, Phy. Education, SUPW etc. For Classes VI to VII, Physics, Chemistry and Biology will collectively be taken as integrated Science and Social Studies will include History, Civics, Geography and Economics. Academic awards are only awarded if a student continues to be in the school in the next class. Children using unfair means in examinations will not be eligible for any academic awards.


FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF ANY ACADEMIC AWARD.
1. A student must appear in all examinations. If a
child misses two weekly tests in one subject in one
term, he / she will not be eligible for any academic
award.

2. A child must have minimum 90% of attendance in
the academic year.
